Synopsis

Remission is a gritty international police drama centred on morally compromised and well-connected Liverpool cop, Frank Keane who, on returning from the US with twenty five million dollars of shady money, discovers that not only does he have cancer, someone seems to be trying to kill him.

When a young woman is killed in what looks like a routine traffic accident in Liverpool but soon develops into a murder enquiry with links to a Berlin clinic, Keane is too busy worrying about his diagnosis to take much notice. What Keane doesn’t know is that both the traffic death and the threats on his life are intimately connected. After Keane kills the attackers who come for him, incinerating his house in the process, he drops out of sight and finds refuge on a remote Scottish island using his dirty money and connections to build a new identity as Tom Machin.
